La majorit\u00e9 des cancers de la t\u00eate et du cou (\u223c90 %) sont des carcinomes \u00e9pidermo\u00efdes, et la plupart des patients (\u223c60 %) re\u00e7oivent un diagnostic de carcinome \u00e9pidermo\u00efde localement avanc\u00e9 de la t\u00eate et du cou (LA-SCCHN). La chirurgie est pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable dans les cas de cancer de la cavit\u00e9 buccale et de cancer du larynx T4. La chirurgie du cancer de l&#039;oropharynx est une option lorsque le cou est cliniquement n\u00e9gatif afin d&#039;\u00e9viter la radioth\u00e9rapie.
