Most people assume that they will not become ill while travelling, but in reality, travel-related issues are common. These issues can lead to anything from a minor health condition to a potentially life-threatening infection. Many of these issues could have been avoided with appropriate counselling and implementing preventative measures prior to leaving Canada.

This continuing education lesson reviews recent travel health recommendations that pharmacists can implement into their practice. It will provide travel health advice for people travelling to resort destinations as well as to the more complex and increasingly popular travel destinations such as Asia.
